Since last Thursday, it’s been a busy week with a short respite at Martha’s Vineyard. Last Thursday, I went over to Housing Works where there was a special Southern Lit with ZZ Packer. I didn’t meet ZZ, but I did see the Other Nichelle, Author Tayari Jones (Untelling, Leaving Atlanta). It was good to see Marcy Dermansky (Twins) and her husband Jurgen was there, who I haven’t seen in over a year. Later that night, I went to Leo’s very Tumbly  birthday party. Tuesday at the Tech Meetup, Hermann told me that reads my tweets and vacations in Oak Bluffs. Wednesday, I ran into Laena at Little Branch, and tonight (Thursday) I met Lisa of Tasty Lacy at a birthday party for a publicist. Whew!

In My Room

Reading an old copy of Giovanni’s Room that I picked on Avenue A yesterday. I feel like both a bourgie and a hipster, and it is making me want to visit the continent.

Went to a Fashion Blogging Meetup tonight.  Chatted with Gala Darling and met the girls from Smashing Darling and Anne from Jet Set Girls.

Mindy is blogging about that Holly Hunter show, “Saving Grace”.  I don’t have cable, but I support my peeps when I can.

Before eating a delicious croque-monsieur at Lucky Strike, I went to a book party in Soho for photographer Lisa Kereszi’s book, Fantasies.  It was a crazy crowded at the party which was held in a Soho loft.  There was one gray haired man walking around eating a bowl of cereal. I think that’s his “party schtick”. Other people tie knots out of cherry stems.
